Emotional Journeys in My Recent Poetry Publications

I recently had three of my poems published. The first publication I’d like to share is my poem “Lost in Starlight.” It was published in Litmora Literary Magazine at the end of 2024 in the issue “Beyond the Cosmos.”

Lost in Starlight

I rest in starlight,
flow with the comets.
I see millions of worlds,
endless forests.

I am part of eternity;
nothing can harm me.
My hair is like a cloud,
crossing infinite landscapes.

For a minute,
I feel your presence here.
I reach out my hand,
but there is nothing there.
You erupt in stardust,
nowhere to be seen—
our story together,
just a feverish dream.

I float in the vastness,
feeling my lines disappear.
In space, I am safe;
I have nothing to fear.

In the Depths of Winter – Poetic Reveries Magazine

I was happy to be a returning contributor to Poetic Reveries Magazine in their January 2025 issue “In the Depths of Winter”. Below is my featured poem:

The Depths of Winter

In the depths of winter,
I bury your name.
Deep beneath the tree
with our initials engraved.

We carved it in the summer,
when the wild birds sang.
With everything unfrozen
and waking up to life.

But now it’s laid to rest
by the riverbed,
torn by ice-cold winds
that couldn’t be held.

Apricity – Prosetrics Literary Magazine

Another magazine where I was a returning contributor was Prosetrics Literary Magazine in their January issue “Apricity“. I was happy to get it published. It is a personal poem for me about a friend who passed away.

December Rain

In December, it rained
on the day of your birthday.
As frost crept quietly
into the streets,
and winter settled
in the mornings.

I thought of you—
what we used to be.
How I carry our story
in the pocket of my jeans.

Deeply buried
is the note that you left,
scribbled on a postcard
you sent in haste:
“I hope this picture
reminds you of me.
I can’t wait to see you,
let’s meet up soon.”

I hope we will,
in another life.
Until then,
I’ll keep your words
locked up safe.

I hope you have enjoyed reading these recent publications of mine. Follow my blog and subscribe to my newsletter for more updates on what is happening in my writing journey. You can also follow me on my social media channels. Until next time!
