Great news! My poems “Who I Was” and “The Hidden Reflection” have now been published in the latest issue of Prosetrics Magazine called “Reflections”. I am happy to be a returning contributor to this excellent literary publication that publishes emerging writers as well as established ones. I was inspired to write “Who I Was” when I reflected on how I changed throughout my life. “The Hidden Reflection” was inspired by trying to connect with the dreams I had when I was younger. You can read my poems below:

Who I Was

When you look at me, what do you see?
A reflection of a woman I can no longer be.
She is but and echo of days long gone.
A soft whisper on your lips going through sealed doors.

Her form has shifted from the ebbs and flows of time.
Like a stone shaped by the waves of a thousand storms.
You must let me rest and be still in your arms.
A windshield that secludes me from the weather’s harm.

Forget who I was and embrace who I am.
Let the shadows dissolve until you see me clear.
Be calm beside me as we travel through the night.
Together we’ll watch the first sunbeam’s tender light.

The Hidden Reflection

I’m searching for the hidden reflection of me.
The smudged image in the mirror I can no longer see.
She is the sunbeam dancing through the leaves of the tree.
A shard of glass tricking my eye with a kaleidoscope of light.

She dances through shadows, flows in and out of sight.
She hops between millions of stars at night.
In twilight, I can almost touch her hand.
But she dissolves in waves as the tide reaches land.

Poetry on Transformation Through Life

Life is always changing, like a journey with ups and downs. Poetry shows this change, capturing how we transform, grow, and adapt. Poets, like experienced travelers, describe change in their poems, reflecting the many sides of human life.

Poetry lets us see how we change—who we are, how we see things, and how experiences affect us. Each poem shows that nothing stays the same, it’s always changing.

Poets, in the middle of change, turn their thoughts and feelings into words that capture transformation. They talk about how we grow, the pain of letting go, and the excitement of new things.

As we read, we see change through the poet’s eyes and learn from their words as they go through life’s many changes. In their writing, we find comfort, advice, and stability in the middle of change.

In poetry, transformation is not scary, but is accepted as part of being human. Each poem shows how we can bounce back, adjust, and find beauty in growing and changing.

Through poetry, we remember that change is not just something we go through alone, but is something everyone experiences as we grow and renew ourselves.
