Good news! My poem “Beyond Your Reach” was recently published in the new issue of the magazine “The Letters Home Collection“. The issue is called “Shatter the Windows” and the theme is rage. This is the poem:

Beyond Your Reach

You think you can bereathe me but you're wrong.
You think you’ll make me feel small
with your words, your wailing song.

Your tongue like a dagger,
throwing flame and poisonous darts
all along my path.
Thinking one would hit me
and pierce right through my heart.

You used to lounge over me
while I crouched in the dark.
Like a scared little mouse,
afraid of the cat's claws.

But you can’t hurt me anymore.
You stopped being able to long ago.
Instead, I stand here with my back straight,
letting your darts fly another way.

Poems About Anger

Poetry about anger is a strong way to express intense feelings. It can show up in different ways, from seething fury to simmering resentment. This kind of poetry might have sharp and cutting words, or turbulent and chaotic imagery. The rhythm and rhyme of the poetry can copy the erratic heartbeat of an enraged soul, while the metaphors and similes used can vividly depict the burning emotions inside. Many poets in history have turned their anger into verse, using it to criticize society, find personal relief, or simply give voice to the intense human experience.

Famous Poems About Anger

Here are some famous poems about anger:

Each of these poems is special in its own way. “A Poison Tree” by William Blake shows what happens when you hold onto anger, while “Musee des Beaux Arts” by W.H. Auden is a sad look at human suffering. “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night” by Dylan Thomas talks about fighting against fading away, and “The Waste Land” by T.S. Eliot explores the fragmented nature of modern life. Lastly, “The Second Coming” by W.B. Yeats present a strong and chaotic vision of the world.

These poems are unique because they help deal with strong emotions using words. They give a way for both the poets and the readers to understand and connect to the complexities of human experience.

Poetry is a strong way to deal with complex feelings. Writing down inner struggles as poems can be very helpful. It provides a way to let out built-up emotions in a positive way. Expressing tough feelings through poetry helps people to face and work through their challenges in a creative and healing way.
